Toast! to the future bride and groom!

Wow! Two more friends of mine got engaged in the last month, so so SO exciting for them both. My bridesmaid being one of them is one of the most creative people I know and I had to show you her wonderful engagement invitations...

Templates

Here is the link for the tag I used for the address labels. I then tweaked them in photoshop, here is the image file I made....

I got the RSVP envelope tags from a great great GREAT blog called eatdrinkchic.com. Then I used "loved by the king" font from dafont.com to address the labels then printed them onto a4 sticky back paper and then cut them out by hand. All up the materials and printing cost me around $200.

If anyone is interested in having me custom design and make invitations for your event, please email me on gabrielle.goodman@hotmail.com and I can work one on one with you to create the perfect invites for your event.

My Wedding Invites are finally done!

And now I can show you. oh.. and sorry about my poor photography, hopefully i'll get better shots of these at the wedding.

Basically I followed on from the save the date cards where I tied the cards with twine to form a package style invite to match the theme of a summer picnic.I originally came up with a more formal and refined invite, however Jarrod and I both agreed that we wanted something more playful, more us and an invite that would match the feel we are aiming to achieve on the day.

I found the pattern for the back of the cards on the net here and tweaked the colours and size of the pattern to get the look I wanted. The fonts I used were "loved by the king" and "toast" both found on dafont.com and the images of the cars and the map were hand drawn.

I hope you like x

Sneak Peek! Stationery!

Oh I LOVE our invitations! I rarely create/design/make things that I am really happy with because I always think I can do better, but I am really truly excited about our wedding invitations. I would love to show them to you but I haven't sent them out yet so I have to be patient and wait a couple of weeks. But I'll give you a sneak peek of something I am doing for some of our stationery. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Help! How do they do it? I want it!

I love this stationary that couple Aaron and Pernel had for their wedding. I would love to do something cute like this, but my question is... Where can I find cute borders like on their stationary?? Do people find them online? If so, where? Or do they do them themselves? If so how? Please someone tell me!

Oh and these sorts of borders.... WHERE DO I FIND THEM??? They're so pretty

Tied with Twine - Invitation Inspiration

I love these invitations by (one of my favourites) Flush Designs. Because I am using raw materials such as hessian, calico and twine throughout the wedding, I thought that I would use brown paper paired with a heavy white textured paper and twine, and to bring in the colours of the table runners and flowers, I'll back the table runner fabric to the name tags tied to the invites.

Loving...

This table setting and table runner! Perfect for a fun summer wedding!
(Images via Anna Kuperberg, flowers by birch and event deign by dream a little dream)

and these..

Two Brunette's Rehearsal Dinner Invitations.

I think these are so so great! I am in love with them! and the fabrics that back the invitations are the perfect patterning I am looking for as possible table runners or napkins. (like above table setting) I also think the brown paper envelopes match the invitations spot on. You really must check out Carolynn and Nell's blog... They're FABULOUS!

On Polka Dot Bride

I'm still 'fishing' but I was in the middle of a bit of naughty procrastination over at Polka Dot Bride and LOOK! *blushes* My engagement party invites are on her blog. It's such a nice stroke to the ego when your work is posted on someone else's blog, especially on what I would consider a "power blog". So a big thank you to her for the mention x

Moo cards

So I saw these over at Style Me Pretty...

These gorgeous save the date cards by Kelly and Terrell and photographed by Whitebox Weddings are made using these fancy little cards.

Moo cards seem like the solution to so many problems! business cards, gift tags, escort cards, thank you cards, invitations, the sky is the limit with these babies! The mini cards are my favourite, they are so cute and tiny at 28mm x 70mm and start from only US$19.00 for 100 (each card can be a different image). I am definitely going to be purchasing several hundred of these! LOVE

Brown Sugar Design

Today's travel/ destination wedding themed stationery is from Brown Sugar Design. I love maps, always have, so I get very excited when I see things like this. I used to have a map of Asia hanging next to my bed when I was little and used to try an memorise all the countries to get to sleep. I love how simple this invitation package is, they have concentrated beautifully on the colours in the map and vintage postcard by pairing them with really simple and delicate black text on neautral card.

cevd

Oh how exciting!

It is that time of the week(end) again when i get to share with you some of my favourite stationery from around the world wide web. Today's invitations are by cevd custom invitation studio and I picked these cute little invitations to show you because I really really really would like to have all our wedding cars in our wedding as vintage beetles (with mine and Jarrod's both being convertibles) either all white or all different colour pastels. Unfortunately I highly doubt we will be getting them because there seems to be no where in Adelaide that hires them out *sigh*. But anyway, if it were to happen, these would be the perfect invitations! Enjoy!

oh and check out the gorgeous envelope liner drawing in the last picture - love how simple it is!

love, love, LOVE it

Rinka and Ink

I just realised then that in all my excitement and surprise in being asked to fly over to Melbourne and do a few days work, i forgot to do a 'stationery sunday' post which i have been bloody waiting to do all week! And i missed the last one because i was in Sydney for easter. So i'm posting it now quickly before i hop on my plane!

What i love most about this stationary by Rinka and Ink is the beautiful font, in fact i think i can safely say that it is in my top 3 favourite fonts (not that i know what font it is). I also love love LOVE the little pattern motif that runs through all the stationary...and how amazing does the envelope liner look!?

DIY envelope liners

definitely a favourite - stationary by Linda & Harriett

So i get jealous when i see amazing stationary. Especially in the details, like hand written calligraphy or personalised stamps to match the wedding theme... details i just know i cant fit in to the budget. I get most jealous though when i see gorgeous envelopes with amazing flecks of colour and pattern as you open them...yep...personalised envelope liners. So when i came across Lucky Me blog and found a post on DIY envelope liners with Canon's Creative Park i am pretty sure i woke up the whole neighbourhood with my WOOOOOOOOO! well it kind of sounded like that...

Flush Designs

Flush Designs - One of my favourite finds from a while ago via the wonderful blog of Once Wed. If it happens that there isn't as strong of a market in event and wedding design in Adelaide that I hope for then, this is definitely the sort of thing I want to be doing. Gorgeous custom designed stationary. LOVE IT!
