Who said getting older wasn't fun!

Yesterday we had my sister in law's thirtieth birthday party. A Hawaiian Luau! So we all donned our tacky Hawaiian shirts and plastic flowers and lay around in the sun drinking coronas eating fresh hot sausages off the barbie and having huge water fights. A Perfect summers day!

The Pen Life

Now its not too often that I think a video is amazingly done, but this is incredible. I could imagine doing something like this for a music video or even a Save the Date or Thank you Video for a wedding. Its all done in stop motion. Have a look and watch the whole thing because, its just Great! Thank you Fort&Field for sharing...

More Simply Bloom

I'm really loving the photography of Vania and Christine from Simply Bloom at the moment. Their photos are so delicate and whimsy and I always find myself daydreaming of how the events they photographed played out.

And once again, I am obsessing about a rustic turquoise theme.

Simplebloom photo shoot

There is something so beautiful about light turquoise in a vintage setting. Its such a delicate colour. I would love to do a rustic wedding with light turquoise, lace and twine out in the country with hay bale chairs and calico table cloths. This photo shoot by SimpleBloom is so beautifully inspiring.

Save the date with scrabble...

Don't you hate finding brilliant ideas and thinking, why didn't i come up with that!? Well I am having one of those moments with these save the date images by He & She Photography. They capture such a fun and relaxed mood and you can tell their wedding is going to be the same! Can't wait for their wedding images to surface around blog world in the near future.

Bringing the inside out is a magical thing

Seeing as you all loved the idea of bringing a chaise lounge outside, I thought you would love this image. What a fabulous idea for the signing table! hmmm wonder if I will find some cheap second hand furniture on my weekend travels around the Port...

I wish I was a photographer/stylist

So I could take amazing photographs like these...
I have to say that Leslie who does the Colour Me Pretty section over at decor8 is fabulous at what she does. I would love to be able to set up images like these, all I need is to get my hands on some great props like these!

Love is magical

My partner has been taking some time off in Melbourne on a boys trip the past week and he gets back tomorrow. I hate being away from him but it is always good to reflect on how much you love each other when you are apart. I cant wait to see him, I've missed him so much! Ain't Love Grand!

Another charming engagement shoot

I love the tradition of engagement photo shoots, it isn't that popular here in Australia. It may have something to do with the differences in wedding budgets between the two countries. Gosh I would LOVE to do work experience with a wedding designer in the U.S. Somehow my and my new business partner's role (once we are fully up and running) will be to convince the brides of Adelaide that spending money on a wedding planner/designer iespecially ones as creative as us :) ) is worth while, and we don't need to spend a year or two's salary on their wedding. Anyway back to the topic of engagement photo shoots... There seems to be a 'space race' I guess you could call it, for who can come up with the most creative photo shoots. I have posted my favourites a while ago here and here and now this (along with the photo shoot in the post below) is a new addition to my favourite engagement photos.
I love these photos of laying out the picnic rug...hmmm perfect for my summer picnic wedding...might have to nick the idea! I can't help it if Erin Hearts Court are so creative it makes me jealous!

Inspiration for the day

I love this fun, casual, summer table setting. It has always been my intentions to have potted flowers as part of my table settings with lavender, hydrangeas and other such things to bring the garden feel of the venue indoors. After seeing this image I don't think I can resist including daffodils now!
