Sneak Peek! Stationery!

Oh I LOVE our invitations! I rarely create/design/make things that I am really happy with because I always think I can do better, but I am really truly excited about our wedding invitations. I would love to show them to you but I haven't sent them out yet so I have to be patient and wait a couple of weeks. But I'll give you a sneak peek of something I am doing for some of our stationery. I hope you like it as much as I do.

I scream for Ice-cream!

oh my God oh my God oh my God!

I am OBSESSED with a new blog (and an Australian one at that)!

Amy Moss at Eat Drink Chic is a Melbourne Graphic designer with an amazing blog and amazing ideas. I have seen the images of her ice-cream bar floating around and I finally stopped to have a read on her DIY tutorial here and I was so excited to find out everything she used is from Australia and easy to get in the local shops! Its so nice to see a DIY where you don't need to order things on line and from overseas. I love you Amy Moss!

Attention Aussie Brides

If you are looking for a gift registry that is different to the norm that is Myers and David Jones (not that they aren't good), then head over to Whiteport.com.au because they have just started up a bridal registry service. I must say that they have lovely stuff and so well priced! My registry that I am with at the moment unfortunately doesn't provide for cheaper gifts that aren't a melon ballers or potato peelers. Whiteport has a range of lovely affordable gifts from my favourite Castelbel soaps to beautiful throw rugs and linens. So check out their website and head to their blog for updates on their store, products and sales.

Today I did something great!

I'm just jumping for joy!
Most people enjoy their Sunday morning sleep in's and believe me no one enjoys them more than I do! But today I decided to get out of bed at 6.30 with Jarrod, and headed to the City to take part in the City to Bay fun run which is a 12km run/walk to raise money for the charity of your choice. Now unfortunately, joining in the race was a last minute decision so I didn't get to raise any funds, but next year I will definitely be raising money towards Mental Health Charities. Anyway the point of this post is that I have a big chip on my shoulder today! I am a very anti exercise sort of gal (unless I'm playing team sport, which I don't find any time for anyway), I don't know what it is but I just find exercise so boring! But last weekend I for some reason, out of nowhere decided to go for a run/walk along the beach and ended up going 8km! It felt so good to achieve something that I never thought I could do, and today, in the fun run I did it again! I was so nervous that I would get so exhausted and not be able to finish the race, but i did it and I did it in an hour and 40 minutes! Woo go me! I guess the point is, I am finally starting to realise (after only 23 years) that if you put your mind to it and challenge yourself, you can really achieve anything. x

Colourful, Quirky, Brilliant!

This makes me so excited about my wedding, why? because this wedding looks so fun and crazy and has those gorgeous little details that gives their wedding their own personal touch. The atmosphere of this wedding that these photos (by Jeremy Lawson) capture seems to be exactly the sort of atmosphere Jarrod and I are looking for in our wedding. Enjoy!

Picnic Engagement Shoot

Oh How adorable! This couple not only had a little picnic for their engagement photoshoot, but they brought their little fluffy white bunny! And even better, its name is Elvis. PERFECT! I love it when people include their pets in photoshoots, especially when its a little quirky x

It's a beautiful day!

There is barely a cloud in the sky, the sun is out, and it is the warmest it has been in a while. Spring is in the air finally! I'm off for a long walk along the beach from Semaphore to Henley this morning, then off to try more cake with Jarrod, buy the paper for our invitations, spend some time with my hubby to be - maybe we will stop off and have a picnic with our favourite sushi by the Torrens river. And then! I am off for a wild night on Glenelg beach for a girlfriend's Hens night (my first one ever! I am rather excited!). Gosh I love the weekends!I would love to do this upon each picnic rug at our wedding. Setting by Alison Events

Suits with a twist

Jarrod and I went looking for suits the other day and I LOVE what he picked out. He picked out light grey pants with a plain white shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a slighter darker toned grey vest with a black skinny tie. He looked so sexy! I want him to wear it everyday forever!

Loving how suave this groom and his men are...

Searching for Sporadic Surprises

I work with a lovely lady, Diana. A little cheeky at times! but a great designer and good fun to work with. And the other week I found out she too has a blog... Searching for Sporadic Surprises, a very lovely blog actually that I definitely recommend you pop over and have a look at. But what is more... is that she also has an esty shop called Clothcake and makes the most adorable pictures and baby clothes (perfect for gifts) with cupcakes on them. These are two that I want to get for my little niece!

Not enough hours in the day!

I have been rather bad with keeping up to date on this.

So much has been going on with work, wedding, etc. So until I get time on the weekend, here is a pretty table setting I found in a magazine that came with the Adelaide Advertiser.
